                   Major Tommy McGuire Division 1
                         Burlington County NJ

Organized in July 2003, this division was started by a few dedicated men of Irish descent and Catholic faith lead by Hugh Connelly our founding president. Being from Burlington County, home of the Joint Base at Fort Dix, Maguire AFB and Lakehurst Airbase , it was decided that the division look to adopt a patron of both Irish heritage and a New Jersey born native. We chose  Major Thomas B.McGuire Jr. of Ridgewood.

Major McGuire was a young Army Air Force pilot who attained the rank of Major by age 26. Fighting in the Pacific theater of war, he scored a total of 38 destroyed enemy aircraft . His actions and bravery earned him our nation's highest combat award, the MEDAL OF HONOR. This division proudly carries his name upon our banners in the parades and events here in Burlington County and throughout  the great State of New Jersey and our Country.
